Silver, escallop shell-shaped box with hinged cover
Silver; the cast escallop shell-shaped box has a flat cover with concealed hinge, and a cast winkle shell-shaped handle, and stands on two large and one small cast winkle shell-shaped feet. The whole is realistically chased.
Given by The Friends of the Fitzwilliam to commemorate the Chairmanship of Lady Hodgkin, 1985-90. Purchased from E & CT Koopman & Son Ltd
