Description

Not Lord Fitzwilliam's custom binding.

Acquisition and important dates

Method of acquisition: Bequeathed (1816) by Fitzwilliam, Richard, 7th Viscount

Note

384 prints. The album leaves were apparently trimmed before binding, meaning that some of the prints mounted towards the bottom of the leaves are trimmed, sometimes quite significantly (as with 24.K.12-182, -221 to -223). The majority of the prints were not mounted so close to the lower edges, and have survived intact.
