Note

From c.1794 to 1807 Woolley was in partnership with James Chetham at Commerce Street, Longton, and on Chetham's death he continued in partnership with his widow, Ann, until November 1809. He set up his own business in Market Street, but by March 18ll was declared bankrupt. These vases, and one other are the only marked pieces known from Woolley's factory.
