Porcelain figure group of Venus and Adonis with Cupid, moulded and glazed.
A toga clad Venus reclines on a rock with Adonis sitting at her side, leaning towards her. At her feet is cupid. A basket of flowers is on the other side.


History note: Sotheby's, 8 May 1941, lot 43. Catalogue of Fine Porcelain and Important Furniture removed from Newton Park, Bristol and sold by order of the executors of the Rt Hon. Algernon William Stephen fifth Earl Temple
