Potter: Ogata, Kenzan (1663-1743)
Earthenware base and lid of flat round form. Thrown and turned with inset base, in which is a spiral. Decorated with a full moon in roughened gold, against a black Raku glaze, with two cranes flying. Three spur marks on each piece.
