Description

Lapis-lazuli mounted on a jade stand. The Buddha is seated on a low lotus pedestal with legs crossed and hands resting one upon the other, in the attitude of meditation. The face has a quiet expression with downcast eyes and the hair is curled in small shell-like knots over the entire head. The robes are simple with flowing sleeves and a necklace hangs from the neck
