Description

Frtiware coated in blue glaze painted with lustre

Fritware, wheel thrown, coated in a blue glaze painted with lustre
Shape: hemispherical bowl on a foot ring
Interior: a radiating lustre star, whose arms enclose seated figures reserved within lozenges, all painted on a blue glaze.
Exterior: the rim is painted with a lustre band, while on the body a frieze of scrolls divided by vertical lines are painted in lustre. Blue glaze covers the surface to the upper section of the foot ring.
