Bronze, cast. The lioness prowls forward, her left hind leg and foreleg advancing, her tail between her hind legs. Her head is turned to the right, the jaws open in a snarl. She wears a harness round her neck and behind her forequarters. The bronze stands on a rectangular red and white marble base.


History note: With Copper & Adams by 30 June 1943; purchased 16 Sept. 1943 (invoice: £125) by Lt Col. the Hon. M.T. Boscawen, DSO, MC (1892-1958)
