Description

Hard-paste porcelain, press-moulded, glazed, and painted in enamels. The fisherman stands on a low white base encrusted with flowers and foliage and is supported at the back by a tall white stump. With his left hand, he holds in front of him the handle of a white fishing net containing several fish, in his right he holds a fish which he has just taken out of the net. He wears a white straw hat with an upturned peak, a white shirt with turned up sleeves, open in the front, and putty coloured trousers rolled up above the knees.
