Description

One of a pair of porcelain carp. The carp is painted in underglaze blue, pale red, green and black enamel and gilt. The carp leaps upwards, supported on its curling tail, which is set on a high rockwork base. The scales and fin are entirely coloured underglaze in blue and pale red enamel with light gilding and the open mouth is picked out in red and gold. The base is touchd with green and black
