This bronze originally was mounted by a separately-cast figure of Cupid. Purchased in 1939 as German, school of Peter Vischer, end of 16th century and now thought to be possibly German, 17th century. It has also been considered to be English (London) late 17th or early 18th century. The Cupid is shown in a photograph of 1939, but has since been lost.
