"The illustrations in this volume are hand-printed by the artist from copper plates worked by engraving, etching, aquatint, soft ground etching, drilling and grinding; the colours are printed in both intaglio and relief, and some additional colour is finally applied to some pages by hand." "The typography and printing of the text is by Will and Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press at Cambridge and the paper is hand-made at the Richard de Bas Mill in the Auvergne in France ... The edition is limited to 85 signed copies ..." Museum has no. 37. Accession no.: 9146. Provenance: bought by the Friends of the Fitzwilliam Museum. Bound by George Percival in full blue morocco with design by artist in gilt on upper board; gilt lettering on spine; top of pages gilt. Issued in slipcase with marbled paper sides
