Enamel on copper with gilt metal mounts; oval , the lid painted with the bust of a woman
Enamel on copper with gilt metal mounts; oval with concave sides and hinged slightly domed lid. The box is enamelled in white. On the lid is an oval miniature of a woman in a deep pink dress with red cloak; she wears a white ruff and in her cap are pink feathers or ribbons. Round the miniature is a border of magenta scrolls and slowers. The sides and base of the box are painted with sprigs of flowers and leaves.
