Description

White earthenware, moulded, decorated with coloured transfer prints under a slightly bluish, crazed glaze. Blue, yellow and red with a brown key plate. Circular with a sloping rim and flat central area. 'The Cottage Children', after Rustic Children by Thomas Gainsborough R.A., encircled by a narrow bell-flower border between two gilt lines; outer 'harebell' border with a gilt line round the edge of the rim.
