Enamel on copper with gilt metal mounts; oval , the lid inscribed 'A Trifle / from / CAMBRIDGE'

Enamel on copper with gilt metal mounts; oval with slightly bombé fluted sides and hinged slightly domed lid. The lid is enamelled in white on which is transfer printed an oval cartouche of sprigs tied at the top with a ribbon, containing the inscription 'A Trifle / from / CAMBRIDGE'. The sides and base of the box are enamelled green, and the interior is enamelled white with a mirror fitted in the lid.
