John the Baptist's Head brought to Salome and Herod
Production: Unknown
Earthenware, tin-glazed white on the upper surface and painted in blue. Within a circular medallion, framed by two concentric lines, 'John the Baptist's Head brought to Salomé and Herod'; ox-head corners. There is a hole in three of the corners.
History note: From Haddenham. Purchased in Cambridge fom Messrs. Jolley and Whittaker, 17th December, 1909
