Description

Silver; deep U-shaped with wavy edge rim and broad lip; a moulded girdle half way down the sides; the upper body embossed and chased with borders of fruit and scrolls either side of a cartouche containing a crest of a pelican vulning itself, the lower half of the body embossed with scrolls, flowers, grapes and a hoho bird; standing on three cast and chased legs with lion’s mask capitals and lions’ paw feet; with double scroll handle; the base scratch engraved with the initials ‘C’ over ‘TE’
