Bone china decorated onglaze with a polychrome transfers and gilding
Bone china with clear glaze, transfer-printed and gilded. Cylindrical with a scrolled handle. Decorated on one side with the Queen Mother’s arms, with THE QUEEN MOTHER in blue on a ribbon below. On the other side, printed in blue, is a genealogical tree showing the Queen Mother's descent from her grandparents with a crown above and a frame of blue stylized leaves with a Tudor rose in each corner. Inside the rim is an inscription printed in brown on a ribbon with yellow edges: ‘1900. To Commemorate H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s Eightieth Birthday 1980’ A gold band encircles the rim, and on the handle there is a gold loop at the top, and three strokes on each side.
