One of a set of four bowls


Silversmith: Alexander, Philip Frederick




Silver with hammered surface and embossed and chased border of leaves

Silver, with hammered surface, and embossed, chased and matted decoration. Circular bowl with vertical rim above convex sides narrowing to a flat circular base. The whole with hammered decoration and, beneath the rim, a narrow border of embossed and chased stylised leaves on a matted ground.


History note: Not known before testator; H.S. Reitlinger (d. 1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead
