Description

The iron blade is T-shaped, formed of double crescents convex to the edge, forged with a narrow but solid socket for the haft with three low transverse flanges at the back. It is decorated with a W in double incised lines, double incised lines and punched crescents along the backs of the blade, and a panel of geometric ornament at the junction of the socket. The haft is of wood, with narrow section currently situated at the bottom, originally for an iron top spike
