Description

The Sudbury Big Nickel is a nine-metre high replica of the 1951 Canadian nickel erected at Sudbury, Canada, in 1964 to mark the town's importance in the production of cupro-nickel for coins and other purposes. This medal both commemorates the issue of the 1951 nickel and also advertises the Big Nickel itself, which is now on show at the Dynamic Earth Center in Sudbury.
