Large and heavy, of steel, comprising a long round-section spike, double fluted knops with mouldings at either side, and a short socket with a flanged rim decorated with three layers of petals and a seam running up one side, decorated with incised lines at either end. The whole is polished bright with pitting and both knops are dented, the smaller one corroding through in places. There is some active corrosion on the socket
