Edition size 25 (restrikes). Zinc plate approx. 1.2mm thick. Thin wax coating removed from plate before printing - Plate very dark in tone and serious oxidation had taken place, also fine crazed marks from wax ground. Grain of metal very evident early in the wipe but polished down to good even tone with soft variations around edges. Aquatint remains strong. Plate light and requires gentle handling in inking. Runs well, squeegee wipe, very light scrim wipe with soft washed cloth, gentle polish with tissue to retain soft tone and density of blacks. Run with hot plate at 35 degrees, run on reverse of sheet paper predamped and cured for 12 hours
