Edition size 25 (restrikes). copper plate approx. 1.5mm thick. Thin wax coating (tissue masked with wax) removed from plate revealing serious oxidation, ink in the deep lines and fine scratch top left of plate. Originally printed with Graphic chemical intense black ink but RSR proved superior in terms of wiping and delievery of soft plate tone in which to bed image. Plate tone carries some darker areas which result from oxidation. RSR ink, stiff scrim, tisue wipe to medium tone adn great care with edge polishing for both plate tone and very soft signature in plate. Printed edition: signature (drypoint) weak therefore inked with Intaglio shop black (stong), engraving inked with RSR using neoprene squeegee blade, heavy scrim, ink saturated for first wipe, light scrim for second wipe. Tissue polish. Light scratches spot wiped. 32 sheets printed.
