Pottery: Unknown (Probably)
Cosmetic box and cover with lotus leaf design. Stoneware, moulded, incised and celadon-glazed. This flat box has bevelled edges and a recessed base. The cover is decorated with a lotus leaf with incised veins and curled edges. The sides of both box and cover are broadly incised with vertical lines. The dark green glaze is wiped from the rims of both parts which show traces of fire-clay supports, the base has three quartzite spur-marks.
