Description

Oil bottle with florets. Stoneware, moulded, painted in black and white slip, and celadon-glazed. This bottle (kirumbyong) has a flattened body, reminiscent of a ginkgo fruit. Around the shoulder runs a line of dots painted alternately in black and white slip and three florets are below. The pale greyish-green glaze is crackled, and contains impurities. Three fire-clay spurs were used to support the piece during firing.
