History note: Given during the directorship of Sir Sydney Cockerell (1908 - 1937). This print and its companion, P.11209-R, in a paper folder with a note by Cockerell: "Mezzotints by Wallerant Vaillant / belonging to Mr Fynn, of the University Library / qy in Nagler? / Please identify. / S.C" The last lines have been crossed out in pencil and two lines added below: "Nos. 24 and 25 of the catalogue of Wessely, / and representing the father and mother of the artist"
