Pottery: Unknown (Probably)
Jar with cover and saucer with scroll design. Stoneware, thrown, incised, inlaid in black and white slip and celadon-glazed. The globular jar has a cover (A) with lotus-bud knob and is accompanied by a saucer (B). The whole set is decorated in reverse inlay with a large flower-head on the cover, a broad band of incised scrollwork on the jar, with a border of roundels on the shoulder and another scroll border on the saucer, all reserved on a ground of white slip and with dots inlaid in black slip on cover and shoulder. The glaze is of pale bluish-green jade colour, and there are three fine quartzite spur-marks each on the bases of saucer and jar.
