Pottery: Unknown (Possibly)
Small dish with chrysanthemum design. Stoneware, thrown, inlaid in white slip, and celadon glazed. This dish has a flat rim. It is inlaid in white slip with a scroll border round the rim, five chrysanthemum florets both round the well and the outside, and in the centre a youi-head border surrounding a cluster of chrysanthemums within a double circle and a ring border. The clear pale bluish-green glaze has a fine crackle. The base, which is almost flat, has four quartzite spur-marks.

The piece was probably made at the end of the twelfth or beginning of the thirteenth century, in Sadang-ri, Kangjin, or Yuch'on-ri, Puan; for fragments of similar dishes from the latter kiln site see Seoul, Ewha Womans University Museum, 1983, cat.156.
