Description

Fragment with inlaid designs. Stoneware, inlaid in white and black slip, and celadon glazed. Fragment of a shallow bowl with ow footring, inlaid in white slip with simple geometric designs; three hand-pinched spurs remaining on base.

Note

The fragment may date from the end of the fourteenth century, when the kilns were in a transitional phase to the production of punch'ong wares. Compare also the undecorated kiln waster, C.531-1984, which is of the same type.
