Note

For C.144, 146, 176, 177, 179, 236, 237, 250, 255 and 393-1984. These stamped (inhwa) punch'ong wares have a thin greyish-blue glaze and were fired on clay or coarse sandy supports. Some were decorated on the outside in plain white slip, applied with a large brush (kwiyal). They were made throughout the country, particularly in the middle of the fifteenth century, during the reigns of King Sejong (1418-1450) and King Sejo (1455-1468). Many such pieces bear inlaid inscriptions naming government offices such as Changhung-go or Insu-bu.
