Pottery: Unknown
Dish with peony leaves design. Stoneware, thrown, stamped, inlaid and covered in white slip, carved and punch'ong-glazed. The bowl rests on a narrow foot; the inside is covered with white slip. A large chrysanthemum floret is stamped in the centre and filled in with slip and in a surrounding band peony leaves are carved through the slip in reverse and enclosed by incised concentric rings, which are repeated around the rim. The glaze has a pale greyish-blue colour with a fine crackle and in places has lost its gloss. The base is unglazed.
History note: Purchased by the donor from a peasant at the Keryong-san kiln sites.
