Pottery: Unknown
Box and cover with crane and landscape designs. Porcelain, thrown, painted in cobalt-blue and glazed. The box is almost cylindrical and has a slightly domed cover. The cover is painted with a crane flying among clouds and the sides with landscape designs. The painted designs are light blue, the glaze is tinged with pale blue and has in places discoloured and turned pinkish. The rims of both cover and box are unglazed. The narrow footring shows traces of a sandy fire-clay support.
