Method of acquisition: Bought (1963)
From an unidentified book. Pasted down on card, lettering visible on reverse of sheet. With the King's device "manet ultima coelo". Henri II was King of France and Poland, hence the two crowns of laurel and oak below, and the third above in the sky made of thorns. The first two thorns and a secton of the tree trunk on the left have been printed from separate blocks.
