Silver and niello. The belt is composed of conjoined button shapes, each with four lugs through which are passed oval links. Each of the button shapes is decorated with irregular scrolls on a niello ground. The shaped, slightly domed clasp is held together by a dagger which passes through a hasp. The clasp is decorated with stylized scrolling foliage in niello on a silver ground. The vertical axis of the clasp is inscribed K K .
