Original hand-coloured prints and text by J.G. Lubbock.

"The edition is limited to 30 copies (27 for sale), of which 14 copies (13 for sale) are made special by the addition of a matching folder containing preparatory work for the prints". -- p. [5]
Museum has copy number 19 signed by the author/artist.
"The prints are from copper plates, worked by etching, deep etching, aquatint and engraving. The colours are applied by hand in intaglio and relief, and some have watercolour added." -- p. [5].
"The design and printing of the text are by Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press and the binding is by the Fine Book Bindery." -- p. [5].
Text printed in black, grey and red..
Copy notes: Binding: Brown leather spine with fabric sides. Design of beetle impressed in gold on front cover. In marble-papered slipcase.
