Description

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Parchment, heavily trimmed, 305 x 215 (230 x 160) mm, 19 long lines, ruled in brown ink, four-line musical stave ruled in brown ink, number 76 written in ink on the recto.

CONTENTS: Antiphon with one stave of musical notation and Psalm 80:1–14.

ORNAMENTATION: Blue and red parted initial [E, 8 lines] with red and violet pen-flourished infill and extensions and red and blue baguette border for Psalm 80; alternate blue and red one-line penwork verse initials.

Notes

History note: Purchased from Bernard Quaritch by the Friends of the Fitzwilliam Museum in 1911.
