Description

Bowl, Choson period. Porcelain painted underglaze in blue. Shallow bowl with curved sides, standing on a slightly splayed footring. Decorated inside with a prunus plant and with narrow band round the rim. There are three narrow blue lines round the footring and one below the rim on the underside. Six-character reign mark tentatively translatable as 'made by the Studio of the Proclamation of Truth in the cyclical year equivalent to 1906', inside two concentric circles, painted in underglaze blue.
