Fritware with moulded design coated in a turquoise glaze
Upper surface: a palmette design occupies the top half of the tile, while on the lower portion a hunting scene comprises a hare chased by a hound. Both designs incorporate a background of scrolling decoration. The surface is coated in a turquoise glaze which runs over the tile edges.
Lower surface: undecorated except for splashes of glaze.
History note: The Persian Art Galleries, 128 New Bond Street, London W 1 from whom purchased for £25.0s.0d. on 17 March 1911 by the Friends of the Fitzwilliam Museum
