Calcareous earthenware, mould made, painted in black under a transparent turquoise, slightly pitted glaze with spots of blue on the surface
Shape: hexagonal tile with straight sides
Upper surface: a black radiating geometric design of lozenges focusing on a six pointed star. The star and alternate lozenges contain a central dot, which is blue rather than black in two instances
Underside: undecorated
History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
