Method of acquisition: Given (2010) by Zangwill, Shirley

Dating

Production date: about 450 BC : Cf BM Catalogue of Lamps I, Q45, for an Athenian version (but with a defined foot) and Q 662 and 664 for Sicilian examples. The clay of this example 'looks' Attic but the footless shape is not easily parallelled in Athens.
