Description

Hybrid hard-paste porcelain painted in enamels with floral sprays and iron-red looped threads. Pattern no. 195, known as the 'knitting wool' pattern

Hybrid had-paste porcelain, painted overglaze in blue, green, red, puce, and purple enamels. Circular with deep curved sides, standing on a footring. The inside is decorated with a central floral sprig, and round the upper part of the sides with four swags formed by a red wavy and looped line alternating with a shallower swag formed by two puce serrated leaves and floral sprays. A red band runs round the top edge. On the outside there is one large floral spray and three different smaller ones. Pattern no 195 known as the 'knitting wool' pattern.
