Collar, for field or tournament. Formed of three upward-overlapping lames front and rear. The front lames are medially-ridged. The upper edge of the first lame in each instance has a fairly prominent plain inward turn. The third lame in each instance is considerably deeper than the rest. The lower edge of the third rear lame is slight convex with rounder outer corners, while that of the third front lame descends to an obtuse central point. The lames are connected to one another at each side by round-headed rivets with circular internal washers. The front and rear sections of the collar are connected to one another by an internal hinge at the left end of the first lames, and fastened by a plain stud and hole at the right end of the same lame. They are further fastened to one another by a turning-pin and keyhole-slot at each shoulder of the third lames. A circular stud with a sprung triangular lug to retain the pauldrons is riveted at the top of each shoulder of the third rear lame. The collar lacks any lining-rivets. Part of the composite armour HEN.M.20A-H-1933.
