Method of acquisition: Bequeathed (1816) by Fitzwilliam, Richard, 7th Viscount

Note

Similar to a series of prints by Claude Gillot called 'Portraits of actors', although actors' names were added after Gillot's death. The print has been mounted amongst Gillot's series in the album. This plate appears to be in reverse after one of Gillot's etchings, see 24.K.12-48, although there are minor differences in the costumes.
