Description

Warp: ivory wool. Weft: ivory wool. Sides: cords overcast with red wool. Ends: no knotting or fringe remain. Soumak technique, flat weave, weft wrapping. Design: three lines of alternating geometrical medallions with a multitude of smaller figurative, geometric and floral motifs all on a dark blue ground. The main border is of repeating geometrical madallions with three narrow subsidiary borders on each side.
