Unknown (Style of)
Burgonet, of cast brass, with high-relief decoration, for display. Cast in one piece with a high medial comb, a short downturned peak, a backward-projecting neck-defence, and an arched cut-out over each ear. The helmet is decorated in high relief with the Rape of the Sabines on the right side, the Judgement of Paris on the left side, the head of Perseus at the brow, trophies of arms on each side of the comb, and broad scrolls at the edges of the peak and neck-defence.
