Description

Silk warp. Silk weft. Silk pile. Symmetric knot.
Lower border destroyed, raw edge; remaining edges flat weave bound with red silk and small remnant of chain (?) stitch along curved edge. Remnants of similar red silk oversewing on edges of slit . Faded red/pink ground with 'Shah Abbas' palmette and symetrically arranged flower/paeony design. Border with ivory ground.
