Description

Large hard-paste porcelain cup and saucer. Painted in enamels with flowers in natural colours and with gilt rims. On the cup in gold, the initials JMR (Queen Juliana Maria), protectoress of the factory. Probably made for her own use
Mark: The three belts in blue

Notes

History note: H.E. Backer, 121 Hatherley Court, Hatherley Grove, W 2, from whom bought for £7 by the Friends of the Fitzwilliam Museum Invoice dated 13 July 1943 in the Friends’ records for 1943.
