Description

Cast AE double portrait medal of Guiliano delle Rovere (1443-1513), from 1503 Pope Julius II and his brother Clemente, Bishop of Mende 1483-1504. Attributed to Giovanna Candida (b. before 1450 d - after 1495). The medal was made between 1494 and 1499 when Giuliano della Rovere had quarrelled with the pope, Alexander VI, and sided with the French interest.
