Silk embroidery on silk; deep red ground, polychrome embroidery, satin stitch, split satin stitch, stem stitch.
Pattern of flowers, foliage, birds and butterflies, with central coat of arms (may be those of the Marshal family, the Earls of Romney), designed for export market.
